OpenAI unveils DALL-E 3, allows artists to opt out of training

OpenAI has unveiled DALL-E 3, an upgraded version of its text-to-image tool which uses ChatGPT, OpenAI's AI chatbot, to create prompts

DALL-E 3 generates higher-quality images that better reflect prompts, particularly when dealing with longer prompts

It also includes mechanisms to reduce algorithmic bias and improve safety, such as rejecting requests that ask for images in the style of living artists or portray public figures

Artists can opt out of having their artwork used to train future generations of OpenAI text-to-image models

DALL-E 3 will be released to premium ChatGPT users in October, and then to research labs and API customers There is currently no information on when or if a free web tool will be available.
