Students in their 2nd/3rd/4th year of a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering (B.Tech./B.E.) programme who have maintained a 3.0 GPA or above are encouraged to apply for an internship in the Academic Section of IIT PATNA's Software Engineering Lab. Applicants with degrees from an IIT, NIT, or IIIT will be given priority. A selected group of engineering students from IIT Patna's academic section will get the opportunity to spend three months interning with the institute's technical and administrative personnel at different levels. IIT Patna will provide you with a certificate of completion after your internship is over. In addition, the successful applicants may receive a generous stipend in recognition of their efforts and contributions.

Applicants with degrees from an IIT, NIT, or IIIT will be given priority.

A selected group of engineering students from IIT Patna's academic section will get the opportunity to spend three months interning with the institute's technical and administrative personnel at different levels. IIT Patna will provide you with a certificate of completion after your internship is over. In addition, the successful applicants may receive a generous stipend in recognition of their efforts and contributions.

Qualification needed

  • B. Tech (CSE/ IT/AI & Data Science/ Electrical/Electronics & Communication/ME/Civil/ Environmental Sc or Engg./Agriculture/Water Resources Engg./Chemical Biochemical/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering)
  • Students who is in the 2nd or 3rd year of their Engineering Programme.
  • Minimum percentage of marks: 60% marks

Skills needed

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English & Hindi.
  • Hardworking and dedicated outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.
  • Computer Skills like M S office, Google Meets, WebEx.

Works to be Performed

  • Assisting Technical Engineers in R&D works
  • Assisting the Start-up in their Product Development & R&D works
  • Able to work in the Design, prototype development and Testing phase of
  • Incubatees/startup projects.
  • Assisting FIST TBI in day-to-day Operations.
  • Works assigned by PIC FIST TBI

The committee at FIST, IIT Patna would conduct shortlisting based on academic achievement and talents in the event of a high volume of applications. After conducting interviews in both traditional and virtual formats, the top applicants will be chosen. After finishing the internship successfully, a certificate will be issued by the FIST at IIT Patna. The decisions made by FIST, IIT Patna regarding the internship are final. The signed NOC form from your institution's head must be on letterhead from your institution.
