An ex-employee of TCS has filed a discrimination lawsuit alleging the company ignored non-South Asians and non-Indians. According to reports, Shawn Katz filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Before being terminated, Katz, who was employed for nine years, claimed that the company discriminated against applicants and employees from non-South Asian and non-Indian backgrounds regarding hiring, staffing, benching, termination, and promotions and that TCS implemented this policy from the top down.
Despite meeting the requirements for promotion for several years straight, the complainant claims TCS failed to promote him for nine years. His report says that managers and client companies recommended him for promotion, but he got moved to the bench, then fired.
