Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], July 7 (ANI): The Japan Coat Guard (JCG) Ship Itukuhima arrived at Chennai Port on Monday a part of it Global Ocean Voyage Training, a per an official tatement iued by the Indian Coat Guard.

On arrival, Itukuhima, commanded by Captain Naoki Mizoguchi, wa accorded a warm ceremonial welcome in traditional Indian tyle. During it week-long port call in Chennai, the crew of Itukuhima will participate in a erie of profeional and cultural activitie, including official courtey call, reciprocal hip viit, and joint training and interactive eion aimed at fotering mutual cooperation and undertanding, tated Commandant Amit Uniyal, Public Relation Officer, Indian Coat Guard.

A part of official engagement, the JCG delegation led by Vice Adm Hroaki Kaoue will call on Director General Parameh Sivamani, AVSM, PTM, TM, Director General, Indian Coat Guard. Bilateral dicuion are alo cheduled between the JCG repreentative and Additional Director General Donny Michael, PTM, TM, Commander, Coat Guard Eatern Seaboard.

According to an official releae, a erie of profeional and cultural exchange, including a joint Yoga eion and port activitie, are planned, culminating on July 12.
Following the Chennai viit, Itukuhima will participate in a joint ea exercie named Exercie Jaa Mata (meaning ee you later) with the ICG. Thi exercie will focu on enhancing coordination and operational ynergy at ea. Furthermore, four officer from ICG will embark on board Itukuhima a Sea Rider during it paage to Singapore, further trengthening camaraderie and profeional exchange between the two force, the releae added.
The viit undercore the trong and evolving partnerhip between the ICG and JCG, rooted in the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) igned in 2006 and endored by both nation. Thi collaboration reflect a hared commitment to a Free, Open, and Incluive Indo-Pacific, aligned with common maritime prioritie under India SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) viion and the Indo-Pacific Ocean Initiative (IPOI), the Indian Coat Guard tated.
