Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 7 (ANI): Karnataka Deputy Chief Miniter DK Shivakumar on Monday aid that the plan for the development of Greater Bengaluru i being finalied and the ame will be placed before the tate cabinet in it next meeting.
We are already in the proce of finaliing (development of Greater Bengaluru). I will place it before the next cabinet, DK Shivakumar told reporter.
Earlier in May, Karnataka Chief Miniter Siddaramaiah announced the implementation of the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, replacing the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) with the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).
On May 25, Karnataka Deputy Chief Miniter DK Shivakumar aid that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) diviion would be completed by September 15, and the Greater Bengaluru Authority would be formed after that.
In June thi year, DK Shivakumar and official from the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) met official from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and viited ome facilitie to learn how the national capital i dealing with urban challenge uch a town planning, wate management and the contruction bylaw.
Delhi i a very hitoric, big and planned city. The population i double that of Bangalore. There are three challenge in Delhi: town planning, wate management, and the contruction by-law. Though I viited Hyderabad and Chennai a well, but it wa very important to know about the new policie in Delhi. If a city i not planned, it cannot work... I had a brief meeting and they gave their preentation citing new law and their plan for the coming 25-30 year, Shivakumar aid. (ANI)
